Field Day 2012

Our elementary school has a field day each year.  It is a pretty big deal for the kids.  Caleb was excited that he wouldn't have to do any school work that morning.  Olivia was just excited!  That girl LOVES school!!  Please tell me that will last.

The kids are put into small groups and are able to roam from station to station and can choose what game/activity they want to play.

Ella and I decided to stop by and watch the fun.  I was worried if we would be able to find both Caleb and Olivia, but it worked out that we stayed with Caleb and his buddies for a few stations, then found Olivia and her buddies and watched them, then back to Caleb, etc... it was exhausting!  And to make it even more stressful, 98% of the students are wearing the same purple field day shirt.

And next year I am going to have to find - and follow - THREE sets of kids and buddies.  I think I will need some backup... Chad?  Dad?  are you reading this?

Take a look at the few pictures I was able to snap :)

Tattoo time...

Caleb and his buddies!

Jump rope...

Time to cool down with an ice pop...popsicle... whatever you call them.

Olivia and her buddies also got tattoos...

The art teacher asked Ella if she would like one.  Ella was so excited to be included!  This art teacher is so nice!  She is the one who painted the clone trooper on Caleb's cast.  Her son is in Olivia's class and they get in trouble for talking to each other :)

Her tattoo is a hula dancer...

A little hopscotch...

This was Olivia's favorite...

Take a look at that toothless smile!

Olivia even braved the water stations!  Now you see her...

Now you don't!

A stroll through the car wash...  I think Chad should make one of these!

Ella snuck on the playscape!  She is so brave!

Now Caleb's turn!

Keep your eye on Caleb...

 :)

Finally, it was over!  The volunteers were kind enough to share with Ella!  A good way to end Field Day.
