Storage Unit and Updated Paint Pictures

Here are some pictures from the day that Dad, Christopher and Chad moved the storage unit to Mom and Dad's garage.

Fun times.

Pictures of the storage unit.  Filled with Mom's "treasures."

Loading the truck...

I even helped :)

The painting was finished inside the house.

Here is the master bedroom.  Painted and ready for new carpet.

Here is the fireplace with a fresh coat of paint.  Mom is trying to decide if the barn red accent color should go all the way down to the floor.  What do you think?

The yellow kitchen was painted... yellow.  A different yellow.  A better yellow.

The boys moving in Dad's prized roll top desk.

Moving in Mom's prized hutch.

Christopher eating.  He has to eat every two hours... or he gets light headed and grumpy...

Some tools are too big for Dad's garage, so they were moved into our garage.

Silly girl.

Silly boy wearing Olivia's jacket.

The last of the storage unit!

The current status of Mom and Dad's garage... Lookin good!

Cabinet - Gone!

Mom has been talking about incorporating open shelving ever since they bought their new house.  After seeing this idea on a blog, she knew she had to do it.  And they had the perfect section of cabinets that could easily be removed and replaced with floating shelves to display her dishes and accessories.

All we had to do was convince Dad this was a good idea.  Luckily, they had the painters lined up to start so there was little time to talk about it.  Dad was convinced and Chad was on board to take them down!

And here it is!

The kids kept themselves busy by running crazy through the house.  Look how fast they are - nothing but a blur:)

We did discover that wood floors are even better than tile floors for dragging kids around.

A three man train!

 And now a before:

And after shot:

The walls have since been painted... those pictures are up next.  After moving and circus pictures!

Uncle Christopher - and his airplane

We had a busy few days this past weekend. Be prepared for many house updates. Christopher drove from Arizona to help move Mom and Dad's stuff out of their storage unit. Before they started to move things, they played with one of Christopher's new toys.

This airplane is ca-ray-zee! The detail is amazing, it looks so real.  It flies so fast and quiet that it is almost scary.  I may have squealed. and almost peed myself... If I was Mom, I would have :)

I was nice enough to crop the sock and sandal combo "someone" was working. You are welcome, Christopher.

While the boys were flying, Olivia was taking a trip around the cul-de-sac.  She had her suitcase packed full of the essentials - stuffed animals and her blankie.

Ella packed her suitcase as well! Do you like her dress? We bought it for her in San Antonio.  She tries to wear it everywhere we go.

What's up?  :)

And finally, Caleb showing how big this airplane is.  Christopher has one that is even bigger than this one.  Maybe he will bring that one next time.

Going to Target

Yesterday was report card day.  Along with their report cards, they each bring home a data binder full of school work.

I found this in Olivia's binder.

Writing about our favorite place!

In case you need some help:  etebuthe = everybody

Update - Wood Floors!

Much to our surprise, the workers started the wood floors on Saturday morning.  They worked all day and finished around 11 pm.

The hand scraped floors look beautiful and are complimented by new 5 inch baseboards.

The wood floors are the "cat's nuts" as Plem would say :)

I will update with more pictures of the finished floor as soon as I can!
